This week we framed a hand-signed album and guitar signed by all the Commodores in a 3D shadowbox. We custom made the background using a soft starburst design.

This week at Regency Fine Art & Frame, we had the privilege of preserving a truly extraordinary piece of music history: a hand-signed album and guitar autographed by every member of The Commodores. To honor the significance of these items, our team designed a fully custom 3D shadowbox, built to showcase the depth, character, and story behind this iconic band.
The client entrusted us with an album, original vinyl, signed Gibson guitar, sheet music, and a classic promotional band photo. We wanted the display to feel as dynamic and soulful as the music itself, so we crafted a custom background featuring a soft starburst design, inspired by the band’s signature stage lighting and the energy of their performances. This subtle gradient adds motion and dimension, drawing the eye toward each component without overpowering the memorabilia.
To create the shadowbox, we used archival materials, museum-grade acrylic, and precision-cut spacers, allowing us to float each element at varying depths. This multi-layered approach enhances the visual impact of the guitar, highlights the album cover, and gives the entire display an elevated, gallery-style presentation. Every angle reveals another detail — from the hand-signed messages on the guitar to the texture of the vinyl and the expressive band photograph.
Pieces like this are a reminder of why custom framing is so important. Memorabilia isn’t just decorative — it carries personal memories, cultural significance, and emotional value. Our goal is not only to protect these items but to create a showcase worthy of their legacy, transforming them into statement art that can be enjoyed for generations.
If you have guitars, records, posters, jerseys, or any treasured collector items you’d like framed, our team would love to help you design something equally meaningful. Every project is built by hand in our Roswell workshop with the same care and artistry that went into this spectacular Commodores shadowbox.
